Naturgy and Enagás have partnered to introduce a new LNG bunkering vessel, the Mistral LNG, to strengthen fuel‑supply operations in Spanish ports. Built by Enagás through its subsidiary Scale Green Energy and to be operated by Naturgy once completed, the vessel will serve ports across the Iberian Peninsula, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the Canary Islands, supporting the growing maritime demand for LNG and bio‑LNG.
Equipped with advanced technology to reduce emissions and enhance efficiency, the ship is part of a broader push to decarbonize maritime transport and reinforce Spain’s position as a key hub for sustainable fuels. The project aligns with rising industry trends, as orders for LNG‑powered vessels have increased and Spanish regasification plants continue enabling alternative‑fuel bunkering.
